Staff Recommendation:

Since 88 feet of right-of-way is not needed for the roadway, staff recommends approval
of two resolutions to vacate 28 feet of right-of-way along the south side of Rose Place,
east of Snelling Curve.

Planning Commission Recommendation:

On September, 11, 1996, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended
approval of the City of Roseville request for partial vacation of right-of-way on Rose
Place, from Snelling Curve, easterly to cul-de-sac.

Suggested Council Actions:

1. Motion to adopt a resolution vacating a portion of the right-of-way for Rose
Place, east of Snelling Curve, subject to review by the City Attorney and
approval of the City Manager.

NOTE: At a future Council meeting, staff will present a series of minor front
setback variance requests along this portion of Rose Place. Approval of
such setback variances would allow properties to come into compliance
with City code requirements, reducing clouds on the property titles.

60 day deadline: October 10, 1996
Staff Report by: Michael Falk, City Planner, 490-2236

2
