They anticipate set-up will occur three to six days prior to the sale. <br />The sale will be located at 1170 W. County Road B, and will start, if approval is granted, <br />at 11 :00 a.m. on the 17th. The proceeds from the garage sale will benefit the YMCA <br />camps Widjiwagen and Dunord. <br /> <br />The City Code, Section 1004.01 I, states that a normal residential garage sale may be <br />up to three days long, three times during anyone calendar year. The sale must be held <br />betw,een the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.. For garage sales/promotions that will <br />~from those standards. the Code requires Council approval. <br /> <br />As indicated previously, the YMCA sale varies in the following ways: <br />1) It is longer than three days of sales. <br />2) The set up period will begin three to six days prior to the sale. <br />3) Because of the magnitude of this garage sale promotion, a portion of the <br />items for sale will be stored on the yard, not within the garage or screened <br />areas. <br /> <br />SUgJ~ested Council Action <br /> <br />By motion, approve the 1997 Fall YMCA Garage Sale at 1170 West County Road B, <br />with set up to occur three to six days prior to the sale, and the sale to occur from <br />Wednesday, September 17th through Sunday, September 21st, 1997, from 8:00 a.m. <br />to 9:00 p.m.; approving outside storage of sales materials for this period of time, with no <br />parking on the north side of County Road B during sale hours subject to the approval of <br />Ramsey County. <br /> <br />The organizers should be encouraged to sign and use the Lexington/B Park parking lot <br />to provide safer off-street parking. The organizers should offer to meet with neighbors <br />to explain the fall sale and reduce inconveniences that may occur during this period. <br /> <br />As in the past, the staff will send notiCie to property owners along County Road B. <br />Attached is the formal request letter of July 30, 1997 from Rober G.
