<br />OUTLINE of ACTION PLAN: <br />- <br /> <br />1. Affordable Suburban Housing Pilot Program will combine efforts with the <br />City (A contract with Bill Schatzlien and Associates) <br /> <br />a. Continuously identify a target of 200 housing units with below <br />average physical condition (based on assessor's records) for <br />replacement or renovation programs. <br /> <br />b. Annually select three sites. Create 3 - entry level single family <br />housing sites by purchasing available sites from the 200 unit <br />identified above. Utilize the city housing loan and/or <br />acquisition fund to acquire (from willing sellers) the 3 sites with <br />dilapidated housing* <br /> <br />c. Work with city and local banks to overcome obstacles to reverse <br />mortgages for seniors. <br /> <br />d. Create neighborhood watch and volunteer housing <br />inspection network for each neighborhood. Create cross- <br />generational linkages. <br /> <br />e. Multi-family owner/managers association/collaboration <br />to select and keep good renters and assist owners (and banks) <br />with partial revolving loan financing for multi-family renovation <br />projects. <br /> <br />f. Assist homeowner's associations with low interest 10 year <br />financing for updates/improvements to condo or townhouse <br />projects. <br /> <br />5 <br />
