<br />Dec. 1, 1998 <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Welsch <br /> <br />We would appreciate if you would see that this letter be dis- <br />tributed to the Planning Commission and to the Roseville City <br />Council. <br /> <br />We understand that there will be a tlanning Commission meet- <br />ing on Dec. 9th..artd the senior housing projectiadjacent to <br />Central Park will be discussed. We will not be~able to attend <br />because of a prior committment. We do however want to make sure <br />that our views on this matter be expressed and explained. <br /> <br />We have lived across from Central Park for over 23 years. We <br />have seen a lot of changes in the park and neighborhood during <br />those years. All of the changes have been beneficial to the <br />neighborhood and community, in our minds. <br /> <br />When we purchased the land to bui Id our house on in 19'e'1'4,. <br />we were told the land across the street on Brooks Ave. was <br />park land. It was somewhat of a disappointment when we later <br />learned that it was privately owned and would be divided for <br />two building lots. We realize now that was actually a neigh- <br />borhood improvement. <br /> <br />We are aware there are neighbors on Transit Ave. that do not <br />want the senior housing project to proceed as they fear it <br />will be detrimental to Central Park. With the information we <br />have thus far been given, we do not see that this will be de- <br />trimental to the park or to Roseville. <br /> <br />We both hope there will be adequate time allotted for both <br />sides of this issue to be heard.
