Fil"e Prevention <br /> <br />The purpose of Fire Prevention is to decrease ,the incidences of fires and promote fIre prevention <br />safety throughout the community lbrough education, investigations, inspection, and enforcemem. <br />Associated expenditures are anticipated to increase with additional population and jobs. <br />Therefore a per capita and job methodology will bl: used for Other Expenses and Minor Capital. <br /> <br />There are currently 2 full-tirne fire staff in this division. For purposes of the fi~ca1 analysis, there <br />wiII be no staff increases under the Trends scenario. Under the High scenario, one fu] I-time <br />inspector will be added in 2010, haJ f way through the development timeframe. The cost for this <br />position is $53,573 including benefits. <br /> <br />2. Code Enforcement <br /> <br />The purpose of Code Enforcement is to ensure that public safety and health standards related to <br />buildings and land U!~e codes, design, and construction are maintained for the general community <br />welfare. In general, expenditures for this department are anticipated to increase with new <br />development. Therefore. a per capita and job methodology will be used for Other Expenses and <br />Minor Capital. <br /> <br />CWTently, there ace 5.90 FfE employees working in this division. Similar to Fire Prevention, <br />there will be no staff increases under the Trends scenario.
