Such sites may have more parking, adequate pedestrian safety zones, signage, visibility, sanitary systems, lighting and perhaps security. . 2.1 lfthe Council determines it appropriate to approve this request, the staff will again ask that .H.amsey County restrict parking v.ith temporari signage on the north side of County Road B, from Femwood Avenue to Lexington Avenue, and notices will be sent to affected property owners along County Road B. 3.0 Alternative Council Actions: 3.1 By motion, approve the 1999 Spring YMCA Sale Promotion at 1170 West County Road B, with set-up to occur from three to six days prior to the sale and approve outside storage of sales materials for this time period, with no parking on the north side of County Road B during sale hours: Spring Sale: Wednesday, May 19 through Sunday, May 23,1999 Maximum Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. 3.2 By motion, approve the 1999 Fall YMCA Sale Promotion at 1170 West County Road B. with set-up to occur from three to six days prior to the sale and approve outside storage of sales materials for this time period, with no parking on the north side of County Road B during sale hours: Fall Sale: Wednesday. September 22 through Sunday, September 27. 1999 Maximum Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. 3.3 By motion approve for the period of one week (May 16 - May 23 and September 20 - . September 27) a temporary 4' x 8' lawn sign directing traffic to the new sale site and deny the requested sale permit(s) because of incompatibilit}r with County Road Band the single rariuI}' residential zone, traffic and pedestrian safety issues, insufficient off- street parking and the need for public sanitation facilities, and further. suggest to YMCA sale organizers that the YMCA grounds. building and parking located at 3760 North Lexington Avenue, in Shoreview, may be a more appropriate site for the sales.
