Description <br /> <br />The Roseville Charter School submitted a proposal that includes the development <br />of a charter school for K-9 students with an anticipated space for 1,000 students. <br />The Charter School would finance construction of the school with a long term <br />land lease from the City. In addition, their proposal includes a partnership with <br />the City to construct a community gym with meeting\dining\community flex <br />space. Construction of the community gym and meeting space would be done by <br />the City and leased to the school. <br /> <br />2. Development Team - the development team for the Roseville Charter School includes <br />the following: <br /> <br />Edison RosevilIe Charter School - the Developer and a MN Public Charter <br />School <br />The Edison Project - contract manager of the educational program at the <br />School <br />John G. Kinnard & Co. - Minnesota investment banking firm that has agreed <br />to underwrite the issuance of Tax Exempt Lead Revenue Bonds to fund the <br />project. <br />The Architect Alliance - architect for the project (retained if proposal is <br />selected) <br />M.A. Mortenson - construction manager and contractor (retained if proposal <br />is selected) <br /> <br />3. Size ofImprovements <br /> <br />The developer is proposing a three story school building with 30,000 sJ . on each <br />floor. (90,000 sJ. total). In addition, the proposal includes a partnership in the <br />construction of a gym at 17,000 sJ. and multi-purpose community space, cafeteria, <br />etc at 9,000 s.f.
