CoUnty Road C <br />Roseville, Minnesota 55113 <br /> <br />RE: Your Request for Additional Outdoor Storage at Casci Site. 1910 Ctv Rd. "C" <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Schuck: <br /> <br />The purpose of this letter is to advise you that 1 have requested and received a review and interpretation of <br />the City Code from the City Attorney on the above referenced action. Outdoor storage is not a pennitted <br />use within the "I-I" Light Industrial Zone. Outdoor storage was only approved on your site as an <br />emergency measure. <br /> <br />The intensification of a pre-existing non-confonning use (Casci's outdoor storage) is not allowed by the <br />Roseville City Code, Section 1011.02 which states: <br /> <br />1011.02 <br /> <br />Existing Structures or Uses: Except where specifically limited elsewhere in this <br />Code any nonconforming use may be continued but may not be extended, <br />expanded, intensified, or changed, unless to a conforming use. <br /> <br />Our records indicate that the Roseville City Council granted your request for a temporary extension of <br />continued outdoor storage of emergency materials, through December 31,1999, on your site on Iv at 1920 <br />County Road "C" with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. All exterior stored materials shall be placed behind the rear building line of the building <br />and screened trom view of front and side property lines with temporary wood fencing as <br />approved by the Community Development Director. <br /> <br />2. All exterior stored materials shall be stored in such a manner to provide emergency <br />access to all sides of the building, as approved by the Fire Marshal. <br /> <br />3. Exterior storage of materials after December 31, 1999 shall be considered a violation of <br />the City Code. <br /> <br />4.
