<br />'... <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />DATE: 06/29/99 <br />ITEM NO: <br /> <br />Manager Approved: Agenda Section: <br />CONSENT <br /> <br />Michael Dietz driveway setback variance for property located at 373 Maple <br />Lane Court (PF3121). <br /> <br /> <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION <br /> <br />1.1 Michael Dietz is requesting a nine (9) foot variance from Section 703.04 of the City Code <br />to reduce the required driveway access point (apron) setback from a street corner from 30 <br />feet to 21 feet. <br /> <br />2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> <br />2.1 Mr. Dietz owns the property located at 373 Maple Lane Court. The property is zoned R- <br />I, Single Family Residential, and the Comprehensive Plan identifies the property as Low <br />Density Residential. <br /> <br />2.2 The City's Pavement Management Program and the reconstruction of Maple Lane Court <br />have prompted the variance request. <br /> <br />2.3 The proposed reduction of this setback would enable Mr. Dietz to retain his driveway in <br />its current location. <br /> <br />Code Requirement Current Location <br />30 feet 21 feet <br /> <br />Applicant Request <br />21 feet <br /> <br />Variance Required <br />9 feet <br /> <br />3.0 STAFF COMMENT <br /> <br />3.1 Section 703.04B(4) requires a minimum driveway access point setback from a street <br />corner of 30 feet.
