<br />Roseville HousingResource Center Report <br />April- September 2000 <br /> <br />The Roseville HousingResource Center provides housing financial <br />information and technical assistance to Roseville residents through three <br />basic functions. <br /> <br />1. Home Financial Assistance Clearing House: <br /> <br />The Roseville HousingResource Center helps residents examine their entire loan <br />and grant options based upon family income and type of home improvement. <br />These types of programs are offered by the City of Roseville, Ramsey County <br />and the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency and can help residents when <br />making home improvements or when buying a new home. Over 200 residents <br />have been served by the HousingResource Center since its inception in April of <br />2000 and 50 residents were served in the month of September Specifically for <br />Roseville residents only the programs include: <br /> <br />Roseville Revolving Loan Program: <br />~ This program provides a 4 percent interest maximum loan of $10,000 to <br />Roseville residents for interior and exterior home improvements. <br />~ With $100,000 available for 2000, four loans have been issued for a total of <br />$39,970. <br />~ The improvements funded include roof, siding, deck, bathroom, flooring, <br />doors, roof and remodel kitchen with a total project cost of $45,293. <br />~ In addition, 89 applications have been sent and one other loan is in the <br />process of being approved. <br /> <br />MHF A Rehab Incentive Program for Roseville Residents: <br />~ This is a rebate payment of 10 - 15 percent of the total improvement cost for <br />Roseville residents. The amount of the rebate is dependant upon household <br />income. The purpose of the rehab incentive program is to encourage <br />Roseville residents to improve their homes in order to foster stabilization and <br />revitalization of neighborhoods. <br />~ With $100,000 available for 2000-2001, six rebates have been approved for a <br />total of $12,529.32. <br />~ These renovations have a total improvement amount of $114,178.40 and <br />include the following improvements: roofs, siding, decks, bathroom, <br />driveway, gutters, bedroom addition and kitchen remodel. <br />
