<br />5. Permits Required <br /> <br />The contractor shal~ at the contractor's expense, obtain all required licenses and permits in relation to <br />the demolition and site improvements. The City ofRoseville requires that a demolition permit be <br />obtained at a fee that is based upon the total value of the bid. Contact the City ofRoseville at 651- <br />490-2238 for an estimate of the permit fee. <br /> <br />All work must be performed within the hours of operation as outlined by Roseville City Code, which <br />is 7 a.rn. - 10 p.rn. on weekdays and 9 a.rn. - 9 p.rn. on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. <br /> <br />.6. Disconnection of Utilities <br /> <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for the disconnection of utilities. The sanitary sewer is typically <br />capped at the main with a permanent watertight cap or plug. The water services are ty pically <br />disconnected at the main. For further specifications on utility disconnection and specific locations <br />based upon the 2800 Arona Street site, please call 651-490-2310. Water and sewer disconnects must <br />be done by a licensed contractor. Permits will be required for disconnects. Disconnection of all utility <br />services to the site shall be the fIrst order of work. Demolition may not commence until the utility <br />services have been disconnected and a demolition permit has been obtained. The contractor and! or all <br />subcontractors wIll be responsIble fur contactmg Gopher One tor IdentificatIon of all utIlItIes prIor to <br />demolItIon work. <br /> <br />7. Indemnity and Insurance <br /> <br />The demolition and clearing of the site shall be carried out in such a manner to preclude damage to the <br />parking lot, perimeter sidewalk, curbing, exterior play equipment and surrounding property. The <br />contractor must agree to hold harmless the City ofRoseville, and their respective employees, ITom any <br />claims for damages ITom any work performed under thi s contract. - <br /> <br />The contractor shall carry not less than $2,000,000 in public liability insurance and not less than <br />$1,000,000 in property damage insurance naming the City as an additional insured and agrees to <br />assume all liabilities for any act or deed of said contractor or sub -contractor and shall hold the City <br />harmless against any and all suits, actions or claims brought on through any work under the <br />perfurmance of this contract. A certificate of insurance shall be provided at the time of license <br />approval and permit applications. <br /> <br />The contractor shall erect and maintain all necessary barricades and warning to adequately safeguard <br />the public and workers. <br /> <br />8. Notice to City of RoseviUe <br /> <br />The contractor shall notify the City ofRoseville, Community Development staff two days prior to the <br />commencement of demolition work. <br /> <br />2 <br />
