No comments were received from the applicant <br />6 or the public. <br />7 <br />8 The fence will be across the rear property line only. <br /> <br />9 <br />10 Chair Bakeman closed the hearing. <br />11 <br />Motion: <br />12 Member Traynor moved, seconded by Member Doherty, to adopt a Resolution <br />13 approving adopt a Resolution approving a 1.5 foot rear yard Variance to Section <br /> <br />14 1012.02B3 of the Roseville City Codefor Kurt Viggers, 586 Heinel Drive, based on the <br />15 findings in Section 5 and the conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated August 3, <br /> <br />16 2005. <br /> <br />17 <br />18 Ayes: 3 <br />19 Nays: 0 <br />20 Motion carried. 3-0 <br />21 <br />22 <br /> <br />c.Planning File 3656: Request by Edina Realty for a Variance to Section <br />23 <br />1009.03M (Ground Signs) of the Roseville City Code to allow the <br />24 <br />construction of a ground/monument sign within the required 15 foot <br />25 <br />setback adjacent Lincoln Drive for property at 2803 Lincoln Drive. <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br />28 Chair Bakeman opened the hearing and requested staff to provide a verbal summary of <br />29 the project report dated August 3, 2005. <br />30 <br />31 Dennis Welsch indicated that Edina Realty wishes to relocate their existing pylon sign on <br />32 the premises from Terrace Drive to Lincoln Drive to a point 10 feet from the property <br />33 line adjacent to Lincoln Drive right of way. The existing ground sign meets the height, <br />34 size, and setback requirements of the Roseville City Code. <br />35 <br />36 In 1989, the City approved a sign permit to allow the construction of the Edina Realty <br />37 Sign along the Terrace Drive side of the building and associated site improvements. <br />38 <br />39 The City Planner has determined that since the initial construction of 1989, the right of <br />40 way has been reconstructed to allow for a Lincoln Drive access point and the landscape <br />41 surrounding the building and parking lot has matured, making it difficult to properly and <br />42 appropriately notice or read the sign. <br />43 <br />44 The Staff recommends approval of a 5 foot Variance to Section 1009.03M of the City <br /> <br />45 Code Sign Section (Ground Sign Dimensional Requirements)to allow the relocation of a <br />46 legal conforming ground sign on Terrace Drive to a point no closer than 10 foot from the <br />Page 4 of 10 <br /> <br />
