1 property line adjacent to Lincoln Drive based on the findings in Section 5 and the <br />2 following conditions: <br />3 <br />4 a) The edge of the ground sign (not the pylon post) must be set back a minimum <br />5 of 10 feet from the property line and not within the easement adjacent to <br />6 Lincoln Drive. <br />7 <br />8 b) The sign must be placed on the south side of the east driveway. Existing free <br />9 standing tenant signs along the north edge of the east driveway must be <br />10 removed. <br />11 c) The ground sign height must be limited to a maximum height of 8 feet above <br />12 grade. <br />13 <br />14 d) The applicant must locate and expose the property corner markers adjacent to <br />15 Lincoln Drive, prior to the issuance of a sign permit. <br />16 <br />17 e) The ground sign may be internally or externally lit. When externally lit, the <br />18 light source may not be visible from Lincoln Drive. <br />19 <br />20 f) The sign base (ground) must include some landscaping, including low <br />21 growing shrubs and\\or perennials. <br />22 <br /> <br />23 f)The variance (if granted) will expire within 6 months of its approval if a sign <br />24 permit is not issued (Section 1013.03). <br />25 <br />26 No comments were received from the applicant or the public. <br />27 <br />28 Chair Bakeman closed the hearing. <br />29 <br />Motion: <br />30 Chair Bakeman moved, seconded by Member Traynor, to adopt a Resolution <br />31 approving a 5 foot Variance to Section 1000.03M (Sign Code – Minimum Dimensional <br />32 Requirements for ground signs) of the Roseville City Code for Edina Realty, 2803 <br /> <br />33 Lincoln Drive allowing the relocation of an existing ground sign,based on the findings in <br />34 Section 5 and the conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated August 3, 2005, with <br />35 condition 6.1a to read as follows: a) The edge of the ground sign (not the pylon post) <br />36 must be set back a minimum of 10 feet from the property line and not within the <br />37 easement adjacent to Lincoln Drive. <br />38 <br />39 <br />40 Ayes: 3 <br />41 Nays: 0 <br />42 Motion carried. 3-0 <br />43 <br /> <br />d.Planning File 3657: Request by Paul DeBorde for a Variance to Section <br />44 <br />1004.01A6 (Maximum Total Surface Are) of the Roseville City Code to <br />45 <br />allow the construction (replacement) of a detached accessory structure <br />46 <br />Page 5 of 10 <br /> <br />
