<br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />Department Approval: <br /> <br />Date: 06/26/01 <br />Item No: <br /> <br />Agenda Section: <br />LAND USE <br /> <br />A request by Qwest Wireless, in association with the City of Roseville, for a <br />Conditional Use Permit to install a 60 foot tall PCS monopole (single pole <br />w/antennas) and affiliated equipment area in the southwest corner of the <br />Roseville Fire Station No.3 parcel at 2335 Dale Street (PF3303). <br /> <br />Manager Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION <br /> <br />Qwest Wireless L.L P. requests approval of a conditional use permit (CUP) to install a <br />wireless communication monopole (single pole antenna) and an equipment shelter in the <br />southwest comer of2335 Dale Street on city owned land at Fire Station No.3. <br /> <br />2.0 BACKGROUND - CITY CODE REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />2.1 Specific to the monopole and antenna, Section 1012.10Al of the Roseville Zoning <br />Ordinance states: City-owned or controlled antennas and tower sites shall be a permitted <br />use in "B" Business or "I" Industrial Districts and conditional uses in all other districts. <br /> <br />2.2 The conditional use permit process (Section 1013 of the City Code) for this request <br />allows the City to consider: <br /> <br />~ Compatibility with adjoining properties. <br />~ Impacts on traffic and public facilities. <br />~ Impacts on property value. <br />~ Impacts on general health, safety, and public welfare. <br />~ Compatibility with the Roseville Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />2.3 The process also allows the City to impose those conditions it considers necessary to <br />protect the public health, safety, and welfare. <br /> <br />3.0 BACKGROUND - SITE DESCRIPTION & PROPOSAL <br /> <br />3.1 Roseville Fire Station No.3 is located in Comprehensive Plan District 7 with a future <br />land use designation of "C" for Civic use. <br /> <br />3.2 Roseville Fire Station No.3 lies directly adjacent to Dale Street (east) and Lovell Avenue <br />(north). County Road B-2 (north), Trunk Highway 36 (south), and Victoria Street (west) <br />are all major thoroughfares in close proximity to the Station. <br /> <br />PF3303 RCA (062601) - Page 1 of 5 <br />
