<br />6.0 PLANNING COMMISSION CONSIDERATION AND ACTION <br /> <br />6.1 On Wednesday, May 9, 2001 the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing <br />regarding Midland Hills variance requests. At this hearing no residents addressed the <br />Commission regarding the request, but Commissioners did have questions of staff, <br />Midland Hills Country Club, and the contractor. <br /> <br />6.2 Some Commissioners were concerned that the "undue hardship" test could not be met <br />due to alternatives being present. Other Commissioners felt that the request met the <br />"undue hardship" test and that some of the alternative solutions were not reasonable (see <br />attached minutes). <br /> <br />6.3 The Commission recommended (4-1) to approve the request by Midland Hills. <br /> <br />7.0 SUGGESTED CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />7.1 Offer a resolution approving (approving with modification or denying) the request by <br />Midland Hills Country Club for a 270 square foot variance from Section 1016.22Al <br />(Non-Conformities) and an additional 320 square foot (590 square feet total) <br />variance from Section 1016.17Cla (Permitted Water Oriented Accessory <br />Structures), based on the comments in Section 3 and findings in Section 4 of this project <br />report; and <br /> <br />7.2 By motion deny the request by Midland Hills County Club for a variance from Section <br />1010.02 (Exterior Finish) based on the findings in Section 4 of this project report. <br /> <br />Prepared by: Thomas Paschke (490-2236) <br /> <br />Attachments: Property location map; aerial photo; site plan; and narrative. <br />60-day Time Limit: Application accepted on April 26, 2001; Decision deadline is June 15,2001. <br /> <br />PF3308 - RCA (052101) Page 5 of 5 <br />
