However, I want to express my views
regarding the interim use permit for Schorn Real Estate.

I am satisfied with the result of the meeting of September 24, 2001 and have no concerns about it's renewal in the exact
same form it was originally approved by the council.

I do not support any changes to the zoning laws for that property. I become concerned with "creep" in the future if this
parcel is allowed to change it's zoning. Once the precedent is set, it becomes easier for future councils to approve
adjoining properties and pretty soon a conglomerate has a large enough piece of land in which to destroy the current
landscape in order to put up yet another larger business.

I know that Roseville's mission is to have a good balance between residential and business. I hope that the council sees
the value of having our neighborhood stay intact. The interim use permit that was passed September 24, 2001 is a good
example of compromise between business and residents. It can be used as a model for other Roseville neighborhoods
who are looking to save and preserve their neighborhood.

Please record my comments into tonight's minutes.

Thank you for your time.

Terry Gardner
2261 Lexington Avenue North
Roseville, MN 55113

10/03/2002
