<br />SETBACK MEETING <br />Meeting Notes: Prepared by Dennis Welsch <br />May 4, 2001 <br /> <br />Meeting held May 3, 2001, 3:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Letter opposing plan distributed <br /> <br />1. Joel Cheney reviewed project, need for 6 foot setback <br />a. Save perimeter trees, especially on the east, south, west <br />b. Siting house at angle to soften the house, less obtrusive <br />c. Turning the house, parallel with Acorn <br />d. Described two foot overhangs, reduces setback permit to 4' <br />e. Only northwest corner is subject to setback permit. <br /> <br />2. Thomas Paschke explained the proposal and setback criteria <br />a. Drainage has been a concern from neighbor <br />b. Dean Findell (Engineering) low are to be filled; gutter the rooflines will <br />drain water directly to Acorn <br />c. Joel C - Plan is to gutter the house; lower filled area would drain to <br />County Rd B <br />d. George _ - gutter cannot be controlled; grading and berms are better <br />solutions. <br />e. Neighbor - Concern with water problem <br />f. Thomas Paschke - noted objection from Gary re: tree cutting <br />g. Joel- by moving the house and driveway will destroy pine trees which <br />were part of Acorn Road settlement <br />h. Art Mueller - underground pipe from roof gutters to Acorn Road would <br />help <br />1. Joel - will use piping system if it assists the project more <br />J. Dean - more area run off will be running to south (not north); but north <br />runoff will run faster <br />k. Thomas Paschke - lot coverage will have to meet Code; 70% non- <br />pervious coverage; 6321 proposed; 6270 allowed as 30% <br />1. George Letendre - Mass of house is not a rambler because there is space <br />above garage. There are few similar homes in area. Pitch of roof is too <br />high. <br />m. Joel Turner allow some roofline to have room <br />n. George - mass and discussion of contiguous structures and setback permit <br />o. Safety issue of driveway coming off County Road <br />p.
