<br />1 The deposit, or unused portion, shall be refundable upon issuance of an occupancy <br />2 certificate. in accordance with Section 901.17. (Ord. 843,2 12 79) <br /> <br />3 901.12: WORK WITHIN PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY: <br /> <br />4 A permit shall be required for any work such as sidewalk construction, curb or gutter <br />5 construction, driveways, tree planting, boulevards, drainage, etc., which is proposed to be <br />6 done within the public right of way. See Section 707 of the City Code. <br /> <br />7 These permits shall be issued by the Chief Code Enforcement Officer after the <br />8 application for the '.T/ork has been approved by the Public 'Norks Director. (1990 Code) <br /> <br />9 901.13: MINOR CONSTRUCTION '''ORK: RESERVED <br /> <br />10 No permit shall be required for construction, repairs, maintenance or minor alterations <br />11 made in accordance with this Code when the value of such work and material used shall <br />12 not exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00), except electrical permits, gas permits, fence <br />13 permits, driveway permits, sign permits, fireplace permits and permits to '.vode within the <br />14 right of'vvay, and where a lesser amount is else'vVhere specified. Any permit issued under the Building Code shall become invalid at the end of 9G180 <br />22 days from the date of issuance unless the work for which the permit was issued has <br />23 been started. This time limit may be extended by the Designated Building Official <br />24 City Council providing that application for such extension of time has been made in <br />25 writing previous to the expiration of said permit. <br /> <br />26 B. A permit shall expire after work has been abandoned or suspended for 180 days. twe <br />27 (2) years after issuance of all ne\v construction of one and two (2) family residences, <br />28 and after one year of issuance for any addition or improvement to an existing one or <br />29 two family residence or accessory building of a one or tV/O family residence. <br /> <br />30 C. Unless otherwise specified in subsection B abm'e, all permits issued pursuant to <br />31 Section 901.09 shall expire one year after issuance unless a lesser period is specified <br />32 on said permit.
