The new homes in question would be literally in our backyard.
Please note our worries and concerns as
follows:

1. Our entire property is on a major slope (fit really for mountain
goats) - slopping down to Fulham/West Laurie Road. Some years the property Masterpiece
Homes is wishing to develop turns into a virtual Niagara Falls down the slope from the
proposed development between/behind myself and current neighbors, 1 year residents on West
Laurie Road (Mr. and Mrs. Keith Fryes(sp). They have constant wet basement because their
property is flat and for the last two years have had a trench dug all the way around the
backyard of their property (put in by former owners) to divert the upper land water runoff
to West Laurie Road. This runoff affects not only Fulham residents but West Laurie Road
residents as well. We, being mid corner on both streets are doubly affected.

To make matters worse, our Fulham neighbor, Henry Herbert, two weeks ago had his
property regraded out back and between us to have all his runoff water from the proposed
development flow directly into our backyard and lower level of our home. I spoke to his
contractor who told me "Mr. Herbert wanted it done this way". I called the Rosevile city
code person (Greg) to complain. To date Mr. Herbert has done nothing to correct the
situation and we are terrified what will happen when the winter snow melt sets in not to
mention our current heavy rains. will you please sandbag my property?

Never in my life have I had a law suit. I'm certain Mr. Herbert is most worried about
the upper land water problem in a major way (previous owners of that particular property
have put in huge culverts to direct that water away from the living room of his house
(which has been flooded on two occasions that I have been certain of - this house has no
basement - only sits on a slab). Will I be having to necessitate a lawsuit against Mr.
Hebert, his contractor and the City of Roseville?
My God I pray not.

Today I telephoned Allstate to get Flood Insurance to add to our Homeowners Policy.
This is not possible because this area is not considered a flood plain. Will the City of
Roseville help me obtain
this insurance? What about the water that comes from the Midland Hills
Golf Course and sits on the front lawns of the currently planned to be demolished
properties on County Road B? This is the same water, on the same properties that cause
the runoff on Fulham and West Laurie Road.
Were you at the Masterpiece Homes first meeting of citizens. A vote - to a man - of all
residents present - tallied up to "no" on the present construction, the proposed zoning
change, without your first addressing the water situation on West Laurie Road and Fulham
Street properties.

Right now my little fish pond is filled with Mr. Herbert's runoff, the fish are dying,
the woodchips/MUD washing down onto our stone path.
You need only to view my ostrich ferns and ground cover to realize how much water is
coming from the upper property to Mr. Herbert's - to mine

1
