identified in
ofthis
appropriate to to
impacted by the nearby grOlll1d water
well, 200067, and Midwest Great 233799 are located
the perched water ground water contaminant at the Indian Headparcel. Although.
we11200067 is likely too deep (casing feet) to at risk, 233799, is
reportedly completed at 95 feet Platteville Dolomite. Depending on
of follow-up investigation ill area ofthe perched water contamination, sarnpling
this well may need to be cond.ucted to evaluate conditions in the bedrock aquifer.

5. The MPCA requests that future reporting pertaining to the area-wide investigation should
be inclusive of all historical ground water data whether from the most recent .
investigation or more historical. For example, data from the historical perched water
aquifer geoprobe investigations, although not pertaining to the new glacial monitoring
wells are pertinent to the overall area-wide ground water investigation and should have
been discussed. Additionally, one ofthe purposes ofthe area-\\ride investigation is to be
able to integrate the location. of known source areas with ground water, future ground
. water reports should also disc:uss the knO\vn or suspected sources that may be
contributing to ground water contaminant trends. If such sources have not been
investigated in areas of ground water contamination, these locations should be discussed
as additional areas of focus as part of parcel-specific investigations.

6. Please note that according to the description of the reporting within the Agreement, the
Supplemental Report is not considered by the MPCA to be equivalent to what is referred
to in the Agreement as the Supplemental Groundwater Investigation Report, but rather as
the Preliminary Groundwater Investigation Report, since this represents the first report
documenting ground water data from newly installed wells for the area-wide
(see pageS

7. Potential source areas for both the perched water and glacial aquifer ground water
contamination should be incorporated into any proposals for parcel specific investigations
which may be completed for redevelopment purposes. .

-2-
