She volunteered to work with Youth Commissioner Cederberg. <br />291 <br />292 <br />Commissioner Carey volunteered to work on the committee. She thought the Commission had <br />293 <br />decided to tie the book to the civility training. <br />294 <br />295 <br />Vice Chair Thao suggested talking to the CEC because they had done something similar with the <br />296 <br />School District last year. <br />297 <br />298 <br />299 <br />Staff Report <br />300 <br />301 <br />a.Finance Update and Discussion <br />302 <br />303 <br />Ms. Collins stated the new budget of $2200 reflects the $200 balance from last year in the form <br />304 <br />of a Target gift card. She stated she would update the budget to reflect the $300 allocated for the <br />305 <br />Mental Health Forum. She suggested the Commission map out expenses for other programs so <br />306 <br />these can be accounted for in the budget as well. <br />307 <br />308 <br />b.Other Items <br />309 <br />310 <br />Ms. Collins stated the City has joined a group of organizations that have agreed to meet to work <br />311 <br />with the Karen Organization on housing issues that have come up. The City has also been <br />312 <br />working with the International Institute that works with refugee resettlement and also working on <br />313 <br /> <br />
