He stated there had been some discussion here tonight to 450 <br />increase this revise the task force’s duration, but the intent was only to let the potential task force 451 <br />volunteers know of a probable end date and duration. 452 <br /> 453 <br />Ms. McCormick stated commented she believed the task force could get their work 454 <br />accomplished in 3 to 4 months and that she would be interested in being on the task force. 455 <br /> 456 <br /> Ms. McCormick stated she formed the association this past summer and she had then met Chair 457 <br />Grefenberg when she was looked to see if the city had any materials thing or website information 458 <br />on neighborhood associations. She could not find anything except a web reference to this the 459 <br />Commission. She then met with Chair Grefenberg and began to as a part of her research with 460 <br />reviewing she had looked at the first ring suburbs. She thus and had a sense of everything 461 <br />available and she thus believed the task force could be expedited as she would be was willing to 462 <br />share her research. 463 <br /> 464 <br />In an effort to achieve closure, Chair Grefenberg recommended summarized the following what 465 <br />he believed was a consensus in the making, namely: Delete neighborhood and, have the name of 466 <br />the task force be Neighborhood Association Task Force. Add up to approximately a 4 month 467 <br />task force focused on Neighborhood Associations. Add neighborhood association and 468 <br />communication? 469 <br /> 470 <br />Commissioner Ramundt suggested Chair Grefenberg work with Commissioner Gardella to 471 <br />reword this paragraph, She stated suggesting it was difficult in a meeting format to wordsmith 472 <br />and get it right. Chair Grefenberg asked if Commissioner Gardella would work with him on this. 473 <br />Commissioner Gardella stated she would be happy to. 474 <br /> 475 <br />Chair Grefenberg stated asked once they had the language down then they whether he had the 476 <br />authority to submit it to the City’s Volunteer Coordinator. There was no objection to proceeding 477 <br />in this manner. 478 <br /> 479 <br />Ms. Hilden asked how many people would be on the task force. Chair Grefenberg responded it 480 <br />was his experience that you ask for volunteers and then decide. 481 <br /> 482 <br />Vice Chair Becker stated responded the Commission would get a list of volunteers and the 483 <br />commissions would discuss who to appoint. 484 <br /> 485 <br />Ms. Hilden stated at this point they already had three volunteers. Chair Grefenberg responded 486 <br />that was correct. He stated once the Volunteer Appeal wording was done finalized, requests for 487 <br />additional volunteers would go out. 488 <br /> 489 <br />Chair Grefenberg reminded the Commission that a motion had been made by Gardella (see lines 490 <br />300-301) that they work on this proceed as outlined by this tonight’s discussion and that the 491 <br />Commission approve the establishment of a Neighborhood Association Task Force. 492 <br /> 493 <br />Vice Chair Becker seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. 494
