Community Engagement Commission Minutes <br />January 15, 2015 – Draft Minutes <br />Page 5 of 18 <br /> <br />Commissioner Gardella suggested surveying the prior people Roseville U participants who 181 <br />attended the meetings to see if they had any recommendations also. 182 <br /> 183 <br />Vice Chair Becker asked for clarity on the Council’s expectations as to the role of this 184 <br />Commission in Roseville U. Chair Grefenberg stated said he believed the Council wanted the 185 <br />commission’s comments and recommendations, and the opportunity to collaborate in the process 186 <br />with them. He stated since the city put it on the agenda, they wanted the commission’s input. 187 <br /> 188 <br />City Manager Trudgeon concurred, indicating that stated if this was a program concept the 189 <br />Commission believed was important the City staff would be looking for. and gave their input, 190 <br />recommendations, and suggestions that this was what. 191 <br /> 192 <br />Commissioner Manke asked if the city was staffed adequately to take on these meetings. City 193 <br />Manager Trudgeon responded he believed they were and it was a matter of putting together the 194 <br />presentations and attending the meetings. 195 <br /> 196 <br />Chair Grefenberg thanked City Manager Trudgeon for updating the website to include the 197 <br />commissioners’ emails and contact information, noting that this was one of the recommendations 198 <br />contained in the Commission’s Report to the City Council. 199 <br /> 200 <br />Chair Grefenberg commented that tonight the Commission believed they had achieved one of 201 <br />their many recommendations. He also thanked staff for the Twin Lakes presentation also. He 202 <br />said he was sure the Commission looked forward to working with the City for other 203 <br />opportunities for community engagement. 204 <br /> 205 <br />Chair Grefenberg requested the bench handout given by City Manager Trudgeon be incorporated 206 <br />into the minutes. 207 <br /> 208 <br /> 209 <br />Old Business 210 <br /> 211 <br />a. Website Redesign Recommendation on a Civic Engagement Module and Vendor for 212 <br />inclusion on the City website 213 <br /> 214 <br />Chair Grefenberg stated they had an important decision to make on the Community Engagement 215 <br />Module, which was in their packet along with recommended decision. 216 <br /> 217 <br />Vice Chair Becker stated last year they the Website Committee got together and looked at 218 <br />various chose the vendors they wanted to look at and the evaluation process to follow. He stated 219 <br />the goals for the evaluation process were to try and have as much individual evaluation 220 <br />consistency as they could possible. He stated they had basic requests for information they asked 221 <br />the vendors to provide. He noted the commissioner’s evaluations/scoring was in the packet. He 222 <br />stated based on the scoring there was a clear winner which was the vendor Granicus. He stated 223 <br />MindMixer was lower, but Granicus was rated higher. He stated the contract could be an annual 224 <br />contract also as a part of the negotiation well. 225
