Both served important purposes, but they could not be grouped 277 together. 278 279 Commissioner Gardella asked what did the Chair needed from the commissioners; was he 280 looking for somebody to take the lead. Chair Grefenberg stated responded he believed one of the 281 ways to implement this priority recommendation was to form a task force of commissioners and 282 residents; and he thought that one of the ways that this committee task force would work was to 283 engage others in assessing how the City could support and facilitate neighborhood input to City 284 Hall. Since this was an effort initiated by the Community Engagement Commission the idea of 285 engaging others in this effort and so forming a task force was a ‘no brainer’. 286 287 He Grefenberg stated said it was his recommendation that it be adopted authorized as a task force 288 with the primary its initial focus to review Edina, St. Louis Park and other cities to see how 289 Roseville could implement neighborhood associations. He stated they have already adopted this 290 and he would like to see if there was any discussion on the task force, which had not yet been 291 adopted by the commission. 292 293 Commissioner Gardella recommended the formation of a task force and asked who was going to 294 be responsible for participation in the task force would participate. Commissioner Ramundt 295 stated she thought this task force had already been approved. Grefenberg stated responded he 296 could not find a motion that the Commission had not formally created for the creation of such a 297 task force, but they should do it so now. 298 299 Commissioner Gardella moved to form a neighborhood association task force 300 incorporating volunteers and commission member(s). 301 302 Commissioner Ramundt asked for some clarification. She noted as it was written it was 3 to 4 303 meetings. She asked were the 3 to 4 meetings specifically about neighborhood associations or 304 was it about other neighborhood things issues. She stated it was her expectations from the last 305 meeting that it lead her to believe it was specifically about neighborhood associations. 306 307 Commissioner Gardella stated she would want to remove in the language any expectations that 308 sets out specific timelines because they did not know. 309 310 Chair Grefenberg stated he was asked at the last meeting to come up with some volunteer 311 language and he believed since any potential volunteer would want some sense of duration and 312 what the issues were to cover. He stated he would like to do the wordsmithing now because this 313 would be submitted to the volunteer coordinator. He asked if there was anything they could 314 delete.
