354 feedback on proposed work plan items for the upcoming year, as well as presenting <br />355 questions to the City Council and hearing their concerns as part of tonight's discussion as <br />356 follows. <br />357 <br />358 StormwaterManyZement <br />359 Councilmember McGehee expressed her interest in infiltration barrier curbs, other curbs, <br />360 and swales as streets are replaced; noting her preference for ribbon curbs in parking areas <br />361 to water vegetation in island parking areas. <br />362 <br />363 Chair Stenlund opined that, to -date the City had done a mavelous job installing ribbon <br />ater <br />364 curbs, pervious pavers, and landscaping to treat rainwhere it fell. From a civil <br />365 engineering versus lay person's perspective, Chair Stenlund spoke to the City's efforts, <br />366 using the recent land acquisition as part of the Victoria Street Project as an example of <br />367 securing sufficient land to address stormwater management issues. Co <br />u cilmember McGehee expressed <br />375 interest in a possible cost-sharing effort between the Cull residents to get those stub <br />376 lines done and add00; <br />s currently occurring and no r remaining a vulnerable <br />377 part of the system. <br />378 <br />379 Councilmember �������Wiexpressed his interest in the PW 's review and subsequent <br />380 recommendation to the City Council regardin e various water/sewer service lateral <br />381 issues beore th next cold weather season. <br />IRM <br />382 pill[ <br />383 Counci member 4 kai erte agreed that more work was needed from the PWETC on <br />384 water/sewer service laterals; and expressed her eagerness to see the commission's <br />385 recommendations. <br />386 <br />387 Councilmember Etten agreed with Councilmember McGehee, opining he would love to <br />388 have cost-sharing as an option in lining his service lateral before it fails. <br />389 AV <br />390 Regarding sanitary sewer laterals, Member Cihacek sought clarification on what the City <br />391 Council desired as a goal or solution. Member Cihacek questioned if the intent was for <br />392 recommendation or a series of recommendations from the PWETC or what would be most <br />393 beneficial for the end product for this complex and multi faceted issue. Member Cihacek <br />394 opined there may not be only one solution, and sought more guidance for the PWETC in <br />395 order to provide sufficient information to the City Council in their policy decision-making <br />396 and for the PWETC to perform their research better and provide the best possible <br />397 recommendations. <br />398 <br />Page 9 of 16 <br />
