<br />2) wood, concrete, masonry or ornamental <br />iron, or <br />3) a combination of these materials. <br /> <br />Plant size requirements for landscaping areas <br />shall be as follows: <br /> <br />Deciduous trees shall be at least 2-1/2 <br />inches in diameter as measured four (4) feet <br />from the base at the time of planting. <br /> <br />Ornamental trees shall be a minimum of 2-1/2 <br />inches in diameter as measured four (4) feet <br />from the base. <br /> <br />Evergreen trees must have a minimum height of <br />six (6) feet. <br /> <br />Evergreen shrubs used for screening purposes <br />shall be at least three (3) feet in height at <br />planting. Evergreen shrubs will have a <br />minimum spread of twenty-four (24) inches. <br /> <br />Potted shrubs shall be in a five (5) gallon <br />pot or larger. <br /> <br />All areas of land other than that occupied by <br />building and/or hardstand (parking areas and <br />driveways) shall be landscaped with sod and/or <br />mulch and/or rock material in planting beds where <br />appropriate. <br /> <br />Landscape plan and screening plantings shall be <br />completed within one year from the date of <br />building permit. A bond shall be provided, or a <br />letter of credit deposited in an amount equal to <br />one and one-half times the estimated cost of <br />landscape planting and construction of any <br />required screening. Such bond or letter of credit <br />shall be forfeited or portions thereof, to <br />maintain and/or replace landscaping material or <br />screening for a period of time to include at least <br />two growing seasons. Portions of the bond may be <br />released after one growing season as determined by <br />the city Manager or his/her designee. <br /> <br />14. All site plans, grading, and utility plans, <br />landscape plans, building plans, and surveys shall be <br />prepared for review by the City staff and shall be <br />prepared by the appropriate professional personnel as <br />licensed by the state of Minnesota. R-1 and R-2 <br />dwelling plans shall not be required to be prepared by <br />
