<br />Relations Act (MS Sections 1798.01 to 1798.25), shall be <br />exempt from any sections of the Personnel Ordinance which are <br />governed by a collective bargaining agreement. <br /> <br />2. Nothing in this chapter shall be effective to the extent that <br />it is inconsistent with the "Veterans Preference Law,", <br />Chapter 197, Minnesota Statutes. <br /> <br />3. Nothing in this chapter shall be effective to the extent that <br />it is inconsistent with the rules of the Roseville Police <br />Civil Service Commission or with Chapter 419, Minnesota <br />Statutes, "Police Civil Service Commissions." <br /> <br />250.040. Definitions. <br /> <br />1. "Full-time Employee" shall mean an employee who is regularly <br />scheduled for a 40 hour work week. <br /> <br />2. "Part-time Employee" shall mean an employee who is regularly <br />scheduled for less than 40 hours per week. <br /> <br />3. "Regular Employee" shall mean one who has successfully <br />completed the required probationary period and who is <br />regularly scheduled to work on a full- or part-time basis of <br />at least twenty (20) hours per week. <br /> <br />4. "Temporary Employee" shall mean one who is scheduled to work, <br />either full-time or part-time, for less than twelve months in <br />anyone calendar year or who has been given a definite <br />termination date. <br /> <br />5. "Probationary Employee" shall mean an employee who has been <br />hired in a regular full-time or regular part-time position and <br />who is currently serving a probationary period. <br /> <br />6. "Service Credit" is the unit used to measure the period of <br />time required for an employee to be eligible for benefits. <br /> <br />7. "City Manager" means the City Manager appointed by the City <br />Councilor the person designated by the manager to act in that <br />capacity in a given situation. <br /> <br />250.050. Appointinq Authority. <br />All appointments to municipal service shall be made by the City <br />Manager. <br /> <br />250.060. Physical Examination. <br />All candidates for municipal service may be required to undergo a <br />physical examination as a condition of employment in conjunction <br />with an offer of employment.
