<br />5. Rotating Signs. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Signs Conflicting with Traffic Signals. No sign <br />shall be erected that, by reason of position, <br />shape or color, would interfere in any way with <br />the proper functioning or purpose of a traffic <br />sign or signal. All displays shall be shielded to <br />prevent light from being directed at oncoming <br />traffic in such brilliance as to impair the vision <br />of any driver. This includes indoor signs which <br />are visible from public streets. <br /> <br />"7 <br /> <br />Painted Signs. Signs painted directly on the <br />outside wall or roof of the building shall not be <br />permitted in any zoning district. Signs shall not <br />be painted on fences, rocks or similar structures <br />or features in any district. Paper and similar <br />signs shall not be attached directly to a building <br />by an adhesive or similar means. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Banners, bannerettes, balloons over 2 feet in the <br />largest dimension, pennants, splnners windsocks, <br />streamers, ribbons, whirling devices, light bulb <br />strings, flashing signs, portable trailer signs, <br />portable sandwich board or A-frame signs, and hot <br />or cold air balloons exceeding two feet in the <br />largest dimensions. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Displays or features on any landscaped area, <br />except live vegetation and except on light poles. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Added lighting which does not meet City Code. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />Advertising or special event devices in any public <br />right-of-way. <br /> <br />B. PLACEMENT OF SIGNS: Signs, other than paper <br />signs, may be placed on any wall or a structure and may <br />extend a maximum of eighteen inches (18") from such <br />wall into a required yard. Signs are subject to all <br />yard and building height requirements in all districts <br />except that no sign shall extend above the height of a <br />building to which it is attached. <br />
