<br />5, Removal of Signs. Real estate signs shall be <br />removed within seven (7) days following the lease <br />or real estate closing. <br /> <br />E. POLITICAL SIGNS: <br /> <br />1. In years when a State general election is held, <br />political signs may be posted from August 1 until <br />ten (10) days following the State general <br />election. Any such signs must be removed by those <br />responsible for their being posted. <br /> <br />2. In years when no State general election is held, <br />if there is a primary for any office, political <br />signs for all offices may be posted no more than <br />twenty one (21) days before the primary election. <br />When there is no primary for any office, such <br />signs may be posted not more than twenty one (21) <br />days before the general election. All such signs <br />must be removed by those responsible for their <br />being posted within five (5) days following the <br />general election. Said political signs shall not <br />exceed twelve (12) square feet gross area. <br /> <br />F. PUBLIC WAYS: Signs shall not be permitted wi thin <br />the public right-of-way or easements except bench signs <br />and newspaper and cab stands, all of which shall be as <br />governed by the Building Code; and real estate signs <br />and political signs as regulated in this Chapter. City, <br />County and State traffic directional signs are <br />permitted. <br /> <br />G. TEMPORARY SIGNS: <br /> <br />1. Permit Required. Permits for temporary signs, <br />grand opening signs, special event signage and <br />other attention getting devices may be issued for <br />search lights, balloons or groups of balloons not <br />exceeding two feet in the largest dimension, <br />tents, bannerettes, laser light shows and similar <br />attention getting devices. Temporary signs shall <br />not include banners. During any calendar year, <br />temporary signs, grand opening signs, special <br />event signage and other attention-getting devices <br />may be in place no more than twelve (12) days, <br />except institutional uses which shall be allowed <br />for no more than thirty (30) days. <br /> <br />h <br />
