She suggested also looking at other options <br />for bringing civility training to Roseville that may be less expensive. <br />b. Update on Mental Health Forum <br />Commissioner Slade stated Minnesota National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) has agreed <br />to participate in a forum with the City. She stated she envisioned having a speaker provide a <br />foundation on mental health including terms and what to look for to start the session followed by <br />a panel discussion. She stated she has gotten verbal agreements from Ken Barlow, Mindy <br />Grayling, and Adam Levy to participate. She titled the forum "Finding the Words". She would <br />like to have the forum and panel discussion at the Fireside Room. She would recommend <br />holding this on a weekend. She is running into organizations requesting an honorarium. She <br />asked what the budget would be for hosting this type of programming. <br />Chair Groff stated the Commission typically has a$300 budget for this type of programming. <br />Commissioner Thao asked if there were other speakers that the Commission could approach that <br />would not require payments. She would also recommend making sure that the panel is diverse <br />and can talk to different groups. <br />Chair Groff stated the KARIN Group may have a speaker that would be willing to participate. <br />128 Commissioner Thao suggested approaching the Police Department as well. The Alzheimer and <br />129 Dementia group is active at this time and the Commission could collaborate with them and <br />13o advertise when they are having their programming. <br />131 <br />132 <br />133 <br />134 <br />135 <br />136 <br />Commissioner Bachhuber suggested including the Alzheimer and Dementia group on the panel. <br />Commissioner Singleton recommended including someone from the Police Department on the <br />panel to share their experiences. <br />
