The motion passed unanimously. <br />c. Discuss Committee Assignments <br />Commissioner Thao stated the Commission use to have Committee assignments for the <br />Programming Committee, Youth Committee, Operation Committee, and Outreach Committee. <br />The Commission has gotten away from utilizing the Committees and she would like to suggest <br />the Commission move back to working with the Committees. <br />Commissioner Singleton stated the Youth Committee and the Operations Committee had been <br />standing committees and the Operation Committee members were the Chair, Vice Chair, and the <br />Leads for the Programming Committee and the Outreach Committee. <br />Commissioner Bachhuber stated the Commissioners have been assigned to Committees since <br />April but they have not been meeting. The Outreach Committee members are Vice Chair <br />Becker, Commissioner Slade, and Commissioner Bachhuber. Vice Chari Becker is the Chair of <br />this committee. The Programming Committee members are Commissioner Singleton, <br />Commissioner Dao, and Chair Groff. The minutes do not reflect who would be the Chair of the <br />Programming Committee. <br />Commissioner Thao stated she would not be in favor of assigning someone as the Chair of each <br />committee. <br />Commissioner Bachhuber asked for clarification on the role of the Committees and if anyone <br />could be involved with the Committees. <br />Commission Thao stated Commissioners can attend any of the Committee meetings but if there <br />are more than three (3) Commissioners present the meeting would need to be noticed properly. <br />Ms. Collins expressed concerns regarding the functionality of the Committees at this time since <br />everything the Commission has been working on would fall under the Programming Committee. <br />Chair Groff stated his opinion was that less got accomplished with Committees. <br />Commissioner Carey stated the way things have worked over the last year have been when a <br />Commissioner has an idea and asks for help, the Commissioners who are interested and available <br />volunteer to form a type of committee. <br />
