i
,

from west of Fairview Avenue and to carrv this drainage to County Ditch 4 which traverses the
A11ied Stores' propert and i indicated on this drawing. East of and abutting County Ditch
4storm sewers wauld b:G required to intercept a law point in the roaday and to carry the
runoff from this location in a westerly dirction to County Ditch 4. The 60" arch gipe indi-
cated on this drawing is nece,9sary to convey th rvnoff from 350 acres carr.ed by County Ditch
#4 from the south througs the roadway embanlanent.
Drainage plans for tlie Minnesota Highway Department inteichange of County Road "B-2" and T.
Ii. #S1 have not been cosummated at this date. Hawver, it rs understood that the interchange
low point wfll be drained at an easterly direction to iQunerm,an Lake.
Drawing No. 7 indicaes the storm sewers required if only the roadway facility between Fair-
view Avenue and HaIInline Avenue were to be constructed. Z`his rport will show ,n ubsequent
se:iors how the systern necessary for roadwag► drainage should be combined with those systems
necessary fox Allied Stores drainage and .for District 6W drainage ta form an integral storm
sewer system for the area.
Storm Sewers for Countv Road "B-2" froffi Tunk Hihwav 51 to Hamline Avenue:
Sorm sewer cQastruction for County Road "B-2'" east of Trunk Highwy 51 wi.11 be facilita.ted
by the existence of two storm sewers in this urea. The first of these storm swers is the
storm sewer constructed on Si.mgson Street jo3ntly by the Vilage and Minnesota llepartment of
Highways as a storm water control for Zimmerman Lake. Ttae over£low structure whici was a
part af this improvement will have to tse reconstructed in view of proposed roadway Ioca.tion.
This work is wthin the State portion of the roaway construction. On the Village section it
is recommended that appraximtly 300 liseal feet of 1Z inh storm sewer be constructed to
connect to the Simpson Street storm sewer to drain the intersection of the Frontage Road and
Pascal Street and to intercept drainage on County Road "B-2" at this same location,
Ttie seconi of the two er.isting s:orm sewers in this location begins at the intersection of
County Road 'iB-2" ad amline Avenue and drains in an easterly direction to tT.e pon.d just aarth
of the Aleander Ramsey High School. Only minor modifica.tion of this storm sewer will be re-
:
quired i.n order to intercept storm drainage waters from County Road "B-2" and Hamline Avenue
. " -.L-
