The land use plan should serve as basis for development of suitable zoning <br />regulations and subdivision standards. <br />2, Annexation, consolidation, and governmental areas of responsibility should <br />be continually reevaluated. <br />3. All future change and development in the community should be in accordance <br />with a generally accep'red Comprehensive Village Plc�n for land use, transpor- <br />tation, and commun i ty fac i I i fiies . <br />4. Major legislation needed to help effectuate the Plan is as follows: <br />a) A comprehensive zoning ordinance (text and dis trict map) based upon <br />the basic land us� proposals in the Village Plan. <br />b) A subdivision ordinance designed to serve as a guide to fihe subdivision <br />and re-subdivision of land parcels in the Village. <br />c) rJfficial adoption of Village Plan by Planning Commission and'�!sllage <br />C�unc i � . <br />d) Consideration of "nuisance" codes and other legislation as may be <br />desirable and indicated through plan administration. <br />5. All public and private utilities should be installed ond developed in accordance <br />with a comprehensive plan for water, sanitary sewer, and storm water droinege. <br />fi. Basic Assumptions: <br />a) By the year 200O3 much of the vacant land in the commun�ty will be <br />utilized for some urban purpose. <br />b) There will be no major war, economic depressivn, natural disaster or <br />other calami#y 4dversely affecting the 6rea. <br />� c) The pop�iation will tend to stabilize; by the year 2C00, population <br />growth within the present corporate limits will be slower than during <br />the next two decades � <br />� <br />� <br />1� <br />LJ <br />
