plat for a portion of his property located between Burke and
County Road B, east of William. Mr. Zeece is proposing to plat 3
lots, each in excess of 110 feet in width along Burke Avenue.
The remainder of his property would be shown in a preliminary
plat gaining access via cul-de-sac from County Road B, ahich is
where Mr. Zeece and his wife currently reside. The proposed
preliminary plat was very straight forward, all three of the lots
would meet or exceed City standards.
3. A1 Sands (489-1393)
Mr. Sands was in to inquire whether or not a lot that is owned by
his mother on McCarrons Blvd. S. is a buildable lot. We reviewed
the half section drawings and the section aerials and deermined
that although the property is somewhat oddly shaped, that it did
contain sufficient area and could be developed in a manner that
was consistent with the surrounding neighborhood. We discussed
the various procedures for proceeding with the development of
this lot and Mr. Sands left to co;:template which direction he was
going to chose with the subjEct property.
4. Art Mattaini (631-0410)
Mr. Mattaini is one oi two owners of the property that is located
south of County Road C and immediately west of the Mnnesota
• Beltline Railway Co. Mr. Mattaini was in to discuss the rules
and requirements to locate a new accessory building on this
property. He and his partner had recently torn down a
dilapidated and blighted structure that was lncated on the east
end of this lot and are proposing to replace it with a mobile
metal building, not unlike the temporary bank builing that is
located on the Fine Associates property on Couny Road C. We
discussed ths situation for some time and determined that they
really only needed to have approval of tis use for 2-1/2 years
and we cdncluded that it was probably in everyones bet interest
to process this as an interim use. ordy Beseh was to discuss
wit. r. Mattaini whether or not permanent fotings would be
required ior the building and we directed Mr. Mattaini to write a
letter to Rick Jopke requesting that the City Council consider
the granting of an interim use permit for this accessory building
on the lot. It was clear from my discussion that this lot has
been rather unsightly in the past and that this property owner
was making an effort to try and clean up trie property and improve
both its functi4n and its appearance. Consequently, we felt that
although this accessory structure may not meet our ultimate
standards for the ara, it was clearly a step in the right
direction and would be a step pursuant to cleaning up the site.
5. Todd Baldwin 8293420)
Mr. Baldwin came in to show us the proposed signage for the Olive
Garden Restauran. They are proposing a pylon sign tha is well
within the area requirements set forth in the City ordinance. We
discussed the conversation that the Council had regarding the
