•

Office Hours
April 2, 1986
2
April 7, 1986
Charlie Honchell showed Mr. Barrett the City's proposal to
widen that portion of Trunk Highway 36 Service Road from that
intersection easterly to Fairview. Charles noted that this
included adding an additional lane on the north side,
producing a free turn movement for access west bound,
northerly to Perimeter Drive from Fairview Avenue. Mr. Hon-
chell noted that the City was attempting to get this con-
struction going this year, but that timing depended upon
cooperation from the contiguous landowners to the north
(Fairdale Shopping Center), relating to costs of right-of-way
acquisition in conjunction with appropriate assessments to
the land.
Mr. Barrett was pleased at these prospects, but also
xpressed concern about the need for a signal at the inter-
section so as to provide more adequate egress for east bound
traffic heading towards Fairview f rom this intersection.
Mr. Honchell noted that Mr. Barrett could express his con-
cerns for the immediate traffic condition by writing a letter
requesting a review of current and future disposition.
3. Kraus-Anderson, 332-1241
eill Harris, of Kraus-Anderson Realty, was in to discuss
possible deelopment opportunities in Roseville. Kraus-
Anderson has two principal companies: Kraus-Anderson Can-
struction and Kraus-Anderson Ralty. Recently, the latter
has been principally occupid with the development of the
International Centr in downtown Minneapolis, which is in the
scond successful phase. They are, therefore, lookinq far
new devel4pment opportunities, and are much intrested in
Rosville.
W reviewed various locations in Rosevlle, emphasizing the
tax incrment parcels including those being put together by
Rosewood Corporation (noting their progress and intent, as
recently vrified with the City Council).
Mr. Harris also expressed intrest in multi-family residen-
tial properties, which we reviewed with him in terms of
otental stes in Roseville. He agreed that he would keep
in ouch with the staff, and hat he would check into the
vaiou aptions we rad discussed.
4. Duane Albrecht, 633-451n
Duane Albrcht has begun, and substantially completed, a
15 ft. hy 40 ft. (600 sq. ft,) second story office addition
ta his site south of County Road C, between Snelling and
Hamline. He had not appiid for a buildng permit for this
construction and, thereore, the uilding was "Red Tagged".
