i

Office Hours
March 26, 1986
3 March 27, 1986
The meeting was held at the request of Rosewood Corporation
to present the revised concept for the development of the
Hart property, the adjacent Glacier Park property, and the
single family lots along Highway 36. Rosewood Corporation
requested the meeting because they were in the process of
negotiating the purchase of the Hart property, and
Mr. O'Brien was concerned about whether or not the City would
approve the proposed development plan.
Much of the conversation at the meeting focused on the City's
intention to proceed with a quitclaim taking of the land for
the extension of the Long Lake Road right-of-way. Mr.
O'Brien was concerned that the City would take the right-of-
way land from Mr. Hart's property, and then exchange it with
Rosewood Corporation for right-of-way which they would be
dedicating within their proposed development.
After considerable discussion, it was agreed that Rosewood
Corporation should proceed with the preparation of and
submission of Planned Unit Development concept drawings. Mr.
O'Brien should f acilitate getting George Hart's signature on
this application as the owner, indicating his agreement with
the plans as submitted. Public Works Director Charlie
Honchell agreed that the City would initiate an effort to
postpone the quitclaim taking of the property for ninety
days. We made it clear at the conclusion of the meeting,
that the application and ubmission for the Planned Unit
Development should proceed in a timely fashion, and that the
City would not postpone the quitclaim taking indefinitely. •
6. Doug Heck, 645-1235
Doug Heck returned after last week's meeting with the
completion of a site plan, and after having received the
signatures from all the adjacent progerty owners.
It was determined that Mr. Heck had done all of the necessary
work to complete the application for a minor variance. He
was given an application form, and informed that if he
returned the application form and a check for $25.00, that it
would be acted on at the next meeting of the Minor Variance
Board.
7. Gene Sloat, 474-4109
Gene Sloat was in regarding the remodeling of the NanKin
Restaurant into a new Skippers restaurant on west Perimeter
DrivP. We reviewed the site plan and the proposed
elevations, and discussed a number of issues. The key
determination yet to be made is regarding the shared parking
agreement between this site and the adjacent Mr. Steak site.
We explained the code requirements for shared parking, and
told Mr. Sloat to get in touch with the manager of Mr. Steak
to determine the number of seats. He will then get that
information and determine how many parking spaces will be
needed to serve both uses, and will get back to us with that
information.
