<br />Single Family Residential District (R-l), Two Family Residential District (R-2), and <br />Townhouse District (R-6) shall be required to store trash and recyclable material <br />containers within a garage and/or approved screened structure. Said trash and <br />recyclables shall be picked-up at the curbside no more than once a week. <br /> <br />B. Residential: Residential containers, dumpsters, trash and trash handling equipment <br />within the General Residence District (R-3), Three to Twenty-four Family <br />Residential District (R-3A), Three to Four Family residential District (R-4), <br />Apartment Park Residential District (R-7), and Residential Planned Unit <br />Developments (R-PUD) shall be stored within an attached structure, constructed of <br />the same materials as the principal structure and shall be roofed. Should the use be <br />determined by the City to be a low volume generator (180 gallons or less of trash and <br />two (2) recyclable containers per week) a 100% opaque screened storage unit (chain <br />link with slats shall not be permitted) to a height six (6) feet six (6) inches, located <br />away from any adjacent living area, and picked-up at the curb-side or along a private <br />drive, shall be permitted. <br /> <br />C. Residential: containers, dumpsters, trash and trash handling equipment for other uses <br />permitted within the Single Family Residential District (R-l) such as golf courses, <br />libraries, churches, government buildings and government maintenance facilities <br />shall be stored within an attached structure, constructed of the same materials as the <br />principal structure and shall be roofed. Should the use be determined by the City to <br />be a low volume generator (180 gallons or less of trash and two (2) recyclable <br />containers per week) a 100% opaque screened storage unit (chain link with slats shall <br />not be permitted) to a height six (6) feet six (6) inches, located away from any <br />adjacent living area, and picked-up at the curb-side or along a private drive, shall be <br />permitted. <br /> <br />D. Commercial: Commercial dumpsters, trash and trash handling equipment within the <br />Limited Business District (Bl), Limited Retail District (BIB), Retail Business <br />District (B2), General Business District (B3), Retail Office Service District (B4), <br />Office Park District (B6), Shopping Center District (SC) and Business Planned Unit <br />Developments (B-PUD) shall be stored within a principal structure or within an <br />attached structure. If the structure is attached it shall be constructed of the same <br />materials as the principal structure and shall be roofed. A facility shall be located <br />and/or screened so as to be as inconspicuous as possible to the contiguous public <br />right-of-way. Such trash handling equipment storage areas shall be of sufficient size <br />to accommodate the separation of trash, including separate provisions for paper, <br />cardboard, glass, cans and miscellaneous refuse. Should the use be determined by <br />the City to be a low volume generator (180 gallons or less of trash and two (2) <br />recyclable containers per week) a 100% opaque screened storage unit (chain link <br />fencing with slats shall not be permitted) to a height six (6) feet six (6) inches, <br />located away from any adjacent living area, and picked-up at the curb-side or along a <br />private drive, shall be permitted. <br />
