<br />Corey Yunke, Roseville Police Community Relations Coordinator, spoke to the Commission 51 <br />about current Police involvement in the community. 52 <br /> 53 <br />Commission Recommendation: 54 <br />Commissioner Doneen moved that the Parks and Recreation Commission recommend the 55 <br />City Council support the proposal that includes the acquisition of the Marion Street property 56 <br />and the development of a playground on the site using grant funding. The Commission also 57 <br />recommends using the Parks and Recreation model for community involvement and 58 <br />engagement to include input on both the Marion Street project and proposed renewal work at 59 <br />Tamarack Park. Second by Commissioner Gelbach. Passed Unanimously. 60 <br /> 61 <br />5. DISCUSS PROCESS for CEDARHOLM GOLF COURSE CLUBHOUSE 62 <br />IMPROVEMENTS 63 <br />Sean McDonagh, Golf Course Superintendent, and Steve Anderson, Golf Course Recreation 64 <br />Program Supervisor, joined the table for the discussion. 65 <br /> 66 <br />Brokke summarized the lead up activity and Council direction to move forward with looking 67 <br />into options for making improvements at the Cedarholm Golf Course Clubhouse. 68 <br /> Staff has looked at recent Parks & Recreation planning practices for community 69 <br />involvement & engagement to compile information on interest, direction and 70 <br />opportunities (OVAL Task Force, HANC Task Force & Parks and Recreation Master 71 <br />Plan). 72 <br /> Staff has suggested a possible make-up for the Clubhouse Task Force including 73 <br />representation from Historical Society, Parks & Recreation Commission, Finance 74 <br />Commission, City Council Liaison, Golf League membership, greater Roseville 75 <br />residents. A fourteen member Task Force is suggested. 76 <br /> Staff Participation will include; Parks & Recreation Director, Assistant Director, Golf 77 <br />Course Management staff and other Parks and Recreation staff as needed and 78 <br />appropriate. 79 <br /> Preliminary Objectives: 80 <br />o Community Engagement & input 81 <br />o Identify funding options & opportunities 82 <br />o Explore potential partnerships 83 <br />o Create a preliminary building function concept 84 <br />o Involve & inform greater Parks & Recreation Commission 85 <br />o Inform City Council 86 <br />o Provide Council with final report & recommendation 87 <br /> Timeline: 88 <br />o Seek applications and secure participants: Late January through mid-February 89 <br />o Finalize Task Force Participants: Late February 90 <br />o Task Force Involvement: Mid-March through September/October 2016 91 <br />o Task Force Report completed: September/October 2016 92 <br />Commissioners inquired into parallels for previous Parks & Recreation efforts. Brokke 93 <br />shared how this task force can be structured similar to that used for the OVAL; application 94 <br />process, meeting structure, focused initiative resulting in a final report and recommendation. 95
