Identify neighborhoods or <br />small areas that may benefit from more intensive planning efforts and potential public investment. <br />Transportation, Environmental Protection, and Utilities:Thesechapters will be updated by the <br />Public Works Department in conjunction with another specialized consultant. <br />Housing and Neighborhoods, and Economic Development and Redevelopment: The nature <br />of the extent to which chapters should be reviewed and updated will depend on the financial and <br />staffresources committed to such activities; the newly-formed Economic Development Authority is <br />currently developing strategies in these content areas, which will help to guide the comprehensive <br />plan update. <br />Parks, Open Space, and Recreation: This chapter will require minimal work, as it will largely <br />reference the 2010 System Master Plan and the 2012 Master Plan Implementation Process <br />documents. <br />Implementation: Updates to this chapter will be necessary to account for how the community has <br />changed since the adoption of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan and to reflect updated goals and <br />policies of the body of the plan <br />3. Other Project Elements <br />Project elements that should be described within the project approach and scope of work include <br />the following: <br />Community Participation: The City of Roseville values the input of both its residential and <br />business communities. Therefore, the Comprehensive Plan Update will require a creative public <br />participation process that builds from the efforts of the Imagine Roseville 2025 community visioning <br />process and engages a wide-range of community members. <br />Steering Committee: The Roseville City Council will select a community steering committee to <br />help guide the Comprehensive Plan Update process. The steering committee will be created by the <br />City Council in an effort to represent a broad spectrum of interests. <br />Process Coordination: In order to complete the Comprehensive Plan Update in a timely and <br />efficient manner, the selected consulting team will need to coordinate effectively with city staff. <br />4. Client Responsibilities <br />City staff will provide all existing documentation to the consultant and will make staff available on <br />an as needed basis. The City has the capabilities to complete the mapping required for the <br />Comprehensive Plan Update, and it will be the responsibility of the consultant to coordinate with <br />staff on the production of maps and other needed geographic information.
