605.3 Provide a working space of not less than 30 inches in width, 36 inches in depth <br />and 78 inches in height in front of electrical service equipment. <br />1028.2 Required exit accesses, exits or exit discharges shall be continually maintained <br />free of all obstructions or impediments that would prevent their full instant use. <br />315.2.3.3 Remove and discontinue the storage of combustible materials in all electrical <br />distribution equipment rooms. <br />1027.3 Provide approved exit signs for rooms, areas, or floor levels where two or more <br />exits are required. Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated to a minimum <br />intensity of 5 foot- candles (541ux). <br />906.7 Hand-held portable fire extinguishers, not housed in cabinets, shall be installed on <br />the hangers or brackets supplied. Hangers or brackets shall be securely anchored to the <br />mounting surface in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. <br />510.1 Provide approved signage for rooms containing fire protection equipment, <br />controls for air-conditioning systems, sprinkler risers and valves and other fire detection, <br />suppression or control elements. <br />705.1 Mixed occupancies within the same building and hazardous areas shall be <br />separated in accordance with Sections 705.2 through 705.3. <br />510.1 Provide approved signage for rooms containing fire protection equipment, <br />controls for air-conditioning systems, sprinkler risers and valves and other fire detection, <br />suppression or control elements. <br />907.3 An approved manual, automatic, or manual and automatic fire alarm system shall <br />be provided in existing buildings and structures in accordance with Sections 907.3.1 <br />through 907.3.6 and NFPA 72. In buildings containing mixed occupancies that <br />are designed as separated uses (see Section 102.11), fire alarm and detection systems <br />need only be installed in those occupancies where required by this section. Exception: In <br />areas protected by an approved, supervised automatic sprinkler system installed in <br />accordance with Section 903.3.1.1 or 903.3.1.2, automatic fire detectors required by <br />Section 907.3 need not be provided. Where Section 907.3 required smoke detectors, such <br />protection shall be installed. <br />901.6 Fire detection, alann and extinguishing systems shall be maintained in an <br />operative condition at all times, and shall be replaced or repaired where defective. Non- <br />required fire protection systems and equipment shall be inspected, tested and maintained <br />or removed. <br />906.2 Provide minimum rated 2A- IOB:C portable fire extinguishers mounted in <br />accessible and conspicuous locations. Extinguishers shall be located so that the travel <br />distance from any point within the building to the nearest fire extinguisher does not <br />exceed 75 feet. <br />315.2.3.2 Arrange the storage of combustible materials in mechanical equipment rooms <br />to comply with the following: <br />1) all storage to be neat and orderly, 2) no storage within 3�eet of fuel-fired equipment <br />
