Commissioner Warzecha <br />16seconds. Motion passedunanimously. <br />17 <br />INTRODUCTION AND OATH OF OFFICE FOR NEW COMMISSIONER <br />184. <br />19The Oath of Office was completed byCommission Chair Gelbach fornew Commission members Greg <br />20Hoag and Darrell Baggenstoss. <br />21Each of the current Commission members introduced themselves and welcomedthe new members. <br />22 <br />CEDARHOLM GOLF COURSE CLUBHOUSEREPLACEMENT REVIEW <br />235. <br />24Director Brokke provided an updateon the work that has been completed on the Clubhouse replacement. <br />25 <br />26The March 20, 2017 City Council meetingprovideddirectionto pursue the 5,000 sq. ft. facility,not include <br />27the maintenance facilityatthis timeandno longer considerthe Historical Society asapart of this project. <br />28The larger 5,000 sq. ft. facility will also serve as aCommunity Building providing seatingspace forup to <br />29100 people. <br />30 <br />31The City Council was interested in firm numbersrather thanarchitect’sassessmentsand requested a <br />32proposal for plans and specifications.Staff is expecting a proposal fromHagen, Christensen & McIlwain <br />33Architects(HCM)to bring back to the City Council on April 10, 2017. <br />34 <br />35Commissioner Bole inquired aboutthe timing of the project. Brokke confirmed that the goal is notto <br />36interfere with the golf season. A potential schedule for the project would include: <br />37 <br />38Finalize site location <br />o <br />39Finalize building images <br />o <br />40Plans and specifications –completed by June <br />o <br />41Request for Proposals (RFP)–June/July <br />o <br />42Proposal considerations –August <br />o <br />43Building begins –September <br />o <br />44 <br />45Cart storage would be added nearthe current maintenance building. The new cart storageareawould consist <br />46ofspace for up to 20 carts with aroof and decorative fencing thatissecure. <br />47 <br />48Commissioner Heikkila questioned the lack of a pro shopin the new building. Golf Superintendent <br />49McDonagh confirmed that there wouldbe asmallarea wheresellingofgolf essentialswould occur. <br />50 <br />51Commissioner Stoner requestedafurther explanation ofthe budget. Staff responded that based on the <br />52architects estimateand using comparablefacilities,the market square footagesrangebetween$380-$420 <br /> <br />
