After that timeframe, for houses built in the 1950's <br /> and later, Mr. Adams advised that those materials would end up being recycled <br /> and not come back to the facility to resell, since structural lumber in those older <br /> homes was of the most value. <br /> Councilmember Willmus asked staff to provide a copy of tonight's presentation to <br /> the City Council. <br /> Mayor Roe thanked Better Futures Minnesota representatives for their presenta- <br /> tion and expressed the City of Roseville's support in being able to showcase their <br /> work. <br /> b. Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce—John Connelly <br /> Mayor Roe welcomed and introduced recently named new Twin Cities North <br /> Chamber of Commerce President John Connelly, who provided a bench handout, <br /> attached hereto and made a part hereof, summarizing the area served and key facts <br /> and benefits. Mr. Connelly provided a brief personal biography, and reviewed <br /> partnerships with area businesses, cities, counties and the Roseville Visitors As- <br /> sociation(RVA). <br /> C. Approve Request for a Noise Variance for the 2017 Pavement Management <br /> Project(PMP) <br /> Assistant Public Works Director Jesse Freihammer summarized this request for a <br /> noise variance on behalf of the contractor involved in replacing watermain valves <br /> in an effort to complete the work overnight to minimize impacts and disruption of <br /> water service for residents and businesses along the Snelling Service Drive, as de- <br /> tailed in the RCA. Mr. Freihammer reported that preparation work would be <br /> completed during the daytime, with noise after hours mostly involving back-up <br /> alarms on equipment and possibly some saws. Mr. Freihammer further reported <br /> that only one segment would be done at a time in case of any unforeseen issues in <br /> completing the work in one day. <br /> Mayor Roe opened and closed the public hearing at approximately 6:38 p.m. with <br /> no one appearing for or against. <br /> McGehee moved, Etten seconded, approved a request to extend working hours for <br /> the 2017 PMP for the work area around Eldridge Avenue as presented. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, McGehee and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> d. Consider Bids for the Cedarholm Community Building and Cart Storage <br /> Parks & Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke provided a brief history of this pro- <br /> ject as detailed in the RCA. Mr. Brokke highlighted an overview of the bid and <br /> Alternates 1 (bird-friendly glass), 2 (certified lumber) and 3 (exterior roof materi- <br />
