• Identification of the broad climate change impacts likely to affect residents of the City. <br />• Identify and map specific climate change risk factors within the City. <br />• Overlay vulnerable populations and climate change related risks to describe and map the specific populations at risk, <br />areas of greatest population vulnerabilities, and the greatest risk categories. <br />• Develop recommended Climate Adaptation goals for the City and detail Climate Adaptation Strategies including policies <br />and programs which the City can implement to address climate vulnerabilities. <br />Additional resilience -related topics/goals: <br />Equitable Housing <br />m Protect and maintain all our affordable housing <br />m Establish an inclusionary housing policy for any development that asks for public funds <br />m Establish inclusionary overlay districts to ensure healthy and vibrant neighborhoods <br />m Create policies and areas for owner -occupied tiny houses and mobile homes <br />m Retain and ensure current mix of large and small lots with overlay districts <br />Building Standards <br />The city will lead by example to build and maintain structures that are energy efficient, accessible, have reduced <br />maintenance costs, and that identify Roseville as a progressive, sustainable city. <br />m Create policies to support creativity and unique building or project approaches <br />m Require all public buildings to meet current MN sustainability standards (e.g, SB 2030, LEED certified, etc.) to ensure <br />energy efficiency <br />G Plan for solar for all new buildings <br />G Establish policy requiring sprinkling and handicapped access in all rental buildings <br />G Require green space for all rental complexes with outdoor area to play or picnic <br />G Integrate the concept of Complete Streets into city's pavement management program <br />Public Health <br />The city will be a leader in promoting healthy lifestyles and settings for all residents, employees, and visitors. <br />G Encourage smoke free rental housing <br />G Encourage retail businesses and restaurants to set aside special dining times for dementia patients <br />G Using available space near multi -unit rental complexes, create community gardens <br />G Partner with ISD 623 for nutrition, finance, and exercise classes for seniors <br />G Organize trash collection to reduce large truck traffic on city streets, and to reduce air emissions for inefficient trash <br />collection routing. <br />G Signalize pedestrian crossings using solar energy to power flashing lights <br />G The city will continue to expand zero -waste efforts to all city -sponsored events where food is served <br />G By (year), the city will ban the use plastic shopping bags, or charge a fee for their use <br />
