Ongoing Topics <br />6. <br />I.Education Primer for Parks and Recreation <br />Chair Gelbach and Vice Chair O’Brien have been working on a “primer” for <br />current and future Commissioners. This is an education tool to assist new <br />and existing Commission members with history and knowledge. You have <br />commented onprevious drafts. <br />Draft number fouris included in your packet for another review, comment <br />and input.Also, included are suggestions fortheParks & Recreation <br />Commissioners Biographical information for review and discussion. <br />Gelbach and O’Brien will lead this itemat the meeting. A target completion <br />date has been set for April 1, 2018. <br /> Requested Commission Action:Review, comment and input. <br />II.Cedarholm Community Building Replacement Update <br />The construction of the Cedarholm Community Building continues and at <br />this point remains on schedule. Walls are coming up and the cart storage <br />area is taking shape. <br />Staff has been working on an operational plan including the alcoholpolicy, <br />which will require an adjustment tothe ordinance. At the time of this <br />writing,as discussed in January,staff is planning a request forCity <br />Council action on January 29, 2018 to amend the alcohol ordinance at the <br />Cedarholm Community Building and Golf Course.See attached Request <br />for City Council Action for the background and specific requests. <br />Staff will plan to provide youwith the latest update at your meeting. <br />This topic is a regular agenda item each month in order to keep the <br />Commission updated, gather advice andallow for continued community <br />input. <br />Requested Commission Action:Review, update, provide feedback <br />Staff Report - <br />7.Other new or relevant communications provided as necessary. <br />Other <br />8. <br /> <br />Adjourn <br />9. <br /> <br />
