A lot of residents in those areas go to Cub or Aldi for groceries, and so a bus service is needed. • Reconstruct Rice Street from Maryland Avenue A unique opportunity to create public realm that enhances livability. • Create Comprehensive Design Standards Maplewood does a really good job with this. • Sustainable/Green Energy Building Standards • Creating Zoning Overlay District The cities can define a zoning category that will work. • Redevelopment of Identified Catalyst Sites Long-Term Plan Recommendations • Reconfigure McCarron's Lake Regional Park to relocate parking lot and expand recreational amenities • Park Redesign for the Rice and Arlington Field • Reconstruct Rice Street from Larpenteur Ave to County Road D • Reconstruct Larpenteur Ave from Galtier Street to Sylvan Street • Connect Marion Street to South McCarron's Blvd (defined as Marion Greenway) • Redevelop the remaining catalyst sites Ms. Collins commended the consultant team and engagement teams for their hard work that went above and beyond, particularly on the amount of community en- gagement. The goal moving forward is to start a buzz in the area. She has been receiving calls from residents in the area who want to see the plans. Mayor Roe thanked the consultants and the representatives of the engagement bodies who have participated so far. Councilmember Willmus thanked the consultants and engagement bodies on the work so far. He inquired about the goal of adopting this plan into Roseville's Comp Plan, and also asked what pitfalls or hurdles may result from the City put- ting this into the Comp Plan.
