Regular City Council Meeting
Monday,March 12,2018
Page 23
Further, under line D at line 525, the following enumerations should occur (high-
lighted in red):
1. Up to $150 per year for rent to collocate on the city structure. •
2. $25 per year for maintenance associated with the collocation:
3. A monthly fee for electrical service as follows:
a. $73 per radio node less than or equal to 100 maximum watts:
b. $182 per radio node over 100 maximum watts: or
c. The actual costs of electricity, if the actual cost exceed the
foregoing.
4. The standard collocation agreement shall be in addition to, and not in
lieu of, the required small wireless facility permit, provided, however,
that the applicant shall not be additionally required to obtain a license
or franchise in order to collocate. Issuance of a small wireless facility
permit does not supersede, alter or affect any then-existing agreement
between the city and applicant, The collocation agreement shall pro-
vide for, among other things, that: (i) permittee does not gain right. ti-
tle or interest in city owned infrastructure; (ii) collocated small wire-
less facility and services shall not interfere with public safety or public
utility communications; (iii) city shall have right to shut off power to
small wireless facility to perform maintenance work on city infrastruc-
ture, after providing reasonable advance notice to the wireless service
provider; (iv) city makes no guarantee as to the condition of any wire-
less support structure with regard to applicant's use; (v) small wireless
facility shall not obstruct light emanating from street lighting infra-
structure used for collocation; and (vi) permittee shall be solely re-
sponsible for to maintain the small wireless facility in good and safe
condition, and shall annually inspect mounting brackets to ensure they
are securely attached to city infrastructure and not causing damage or
premature depreciation of the asset.
Finally, Mr. Gaughan noted that on line 416, section "28-103"should be replaced
with 707.10.B.
Mayor Roe inquired about lines 485 —492, specifically the sight distance triangle
on line 488. He noted there is a specific reference to this triangle in another sec-
tion of the Zoning Code. Perhaps line 488 should instead read: "the sight dis-
tance triangle of intersecting streets, as outlined in Code (reference point to be
inserted), "so there is a cross-reference.
Mayor Roe asked whether the Council would like to adopt the document with
these changes or see a new copy.
The Council concurred they would like to see a clean copy.
