The Roseville Library has extended the length of the Stereotype <br /> project through the end of October. <br /> Commissioner Djevi suggested brainstorming how to bring the Stereotype project to other <br /> places. <br /> New Business <br /> a. Appointment of ChairNice Chair <br /> Commissioner Groff moved and Commissioner Eichenlaub seconded a motion to approve Nicole <br /> Dailey as Vice Chair of the Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission. Motion <br /> passed unanimously. <br /> Commissioner Carey moved and Commissioner Djevi seconded a motion to approve Chelsea <br /> Holub as Chair of the Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission. Motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> Mayor Roe thanked everyone for their work on behalf of this new Commission. With the <br /> election of a Chair and a Vice Chair, his formal role with the HRIEC will end. He noted one of <br /> the objectives of the Council was to get the HRIEC started off on the right foot. <br /> Chair Holub thanked Mayor Roe and Councilmember Laliberte for their help throughout the <br /> process. <br /> Mayor Roe departed the meeting at 6:42 p.m. <br /> b. Review Draft 2017-18 Action Plan <br /> Chair Holub presented the Revised Action Plan, noting this version was just made available this <br /> week. Members of the HRIEC attended the last Council meeting when Government Alliance on <br /> Race and Equity (GARE)was discussed, but they were not given the opportunity to comment <br /> because it was not in the HRIEC action plan. She also discussed the advantage of collaborative <br /> efforts with the Council on the Roseville Comprehensive Plan for Equity. <br /> Also noted was a revision regarding proactive monitoring and input regarding racial equity <br /> issues as well as representation on various City working groups to help eliminate the silo effect. <br /> Commissioner Dailey noted the HRIEC would like greater awareness of what is on the City's <br /> Priority Plan as well as the current budget. <br /> Commissioner Manke responded these revisions create a much more balanced approach, rather <br /> than having the group focus exclusively on event planning. <br />
