Approve Fats, Oils, Grease (FOG) Ordinance <br /> City Engineer Freihammer briefly reviewed this request, recommending approval <br /> as detailed in the RCA dated June 4, 2018. <br /> Councilmember McGehee asked whether this ordinance will have enough teeth in <br /> it, in terms of enforcement. <br /> City Engineer Freihammer responded affirmatively, noting this ordinance is a <br /> good compromise and will still give the City the ability to enforce its provisions. <br /> Councilmember Laliberte commented that education will be a key part of the suc- <br /> cess of this ordinance. <br /> Councilmember Etten noted that during the previous Council discussion, a ques- <br /> tion was raised whether the larger senior facilities will be included. <br /> City Engineer Freihammer answered that they will if they have commercial type <br /> kitchens. <br /> Councilmember Etten also commented that in the color map entitled Grease In- <br /> spections, the senior facilities are not included. <br /> Public Works Director Culver noted a few places may have been missed on the <br /> map. <br /> Mayor Roe offered an opportunity for public comment, with no one coming for- <br /> ward. <br /> McGehee moved, Willmus seconded, enactment of Ordinance No. 1552 (Attach- <br /> ment A), entitled "An Ordinance Adding Title 8, Chapter 802, Section 802.15, <br /> Establishing an Ordinance Regulating the Discharge of Fats, Oils and Grease <br /> Within the City of Roseville, Minnesota." <br /> Council Discussion <br /> Councilmember Willmus thanked the work of the PWET Commission on this or- <br /> dinance. <br />
