She thought early in 2019, the Commission will bring a new draft <br />92 work plan to the Council for input. <br />93 <br />94 Ms. Olson stated there have been some discussionsregarding succession planning, <br />95 things new commissioners should know when starting on the Commission, and where <br />96 the information should come from. She stated the Park and Recreation Commission <br />97 put together a Primer that is specific to their Commission but something that might be <br />98 a starting point for the HRIEC Commission if the Commissionwanted to start a <br />99 Primer in order to develop commissioners. <br />100 <br />101 Chair Beltmann thought at the December meeting the Commission can discuss what <br />102 the work plan for 2019 will look like. She thought a lot of time in the beginning of <br />103 the year will be spent on the engagement project. <br />104 <br />105 Commissioner Peterson stated she highly recommends watching the demographics <br />106 presentation. She thought that presentation was really helpful. <br />107 <br />108 Chair Beltmann asked Ms. Olson to send a link out to the Commission Members for <br />109 the presentation. <br />110 <br />111 Commissioner Djevi asked now that the Commission has the survey answers back <br />112 from the City Departments and will be processing the information, what is the next <br />113 step. <br />114 <br />115 Chair Beltmann stated this will be discussed later in the meeting. <br />116 <br />117 Commissioner Peterson indicated she likes the Parks and Recreation Commission <br />118 Primerand thought the HRIEC Commission should put something like that together <br />119 but maybeit should be updated every 6 months. <br />120 <br />121 Commissioner Peterson and Chair Beltmann indicated they will work on the HRIEC <br />122 Commission Primerwith a goal to have it ready by April for new commissioners. <br />123 <br />124 Chair Beltmann asked how the new City Councilmembers are onboarded to find out <br />125 what the different commissions are working on. <br />126 <br />127 Ms. Olson stated she has not been through an orientation at the City yet, but she <br />128 understood there is one and it is typically set up individually to work with the new <br />129 Councilmember to get information on the City Departments. She thought it was <br />130 important that Commission information isalso a part of that. She thought there might <br />131 bea package of information put together for the new Councilmember, but she did not <br />132 know the specifics of what the actual orientation looks like. <br />133 . <br />134 b.
