Regular City Council Meeting
Monday,November 26, 2018
Page 12
Mr. Paschke stated currently he was not aware of that being a measure the City
could impose on a future reuse of the site. The City would have the ability to en-
force the current standards and codes of the City but changing uses within the
list allowed by the zoning does not necessarily trigger the screening and buffer-
ing requirements.
Councilmember Willmus stated he was going to be supportive of this item.
Councilmember Etten stated he would agree with motion.
Mayor Roe stated one option is the Council could amend the PUD to add in the
uses the City would be ok with, but he was not sure that is what the property own-
er is looking for and would potentially restart the process and be initiated by the
City. He stated he was comfortable with the re-designation.
Roll Call
Ayes: Laliberte, Willmus, Etten, McGehee, and Roe.
Nays: None
f. Consider Adoption of 2019 City Council and Economic Development Au-
thority Calendar
City Manager Patrick Trudgeon briefly highlighted this item as detailed in the
RCA and related attachments dated November 26, 2018. He noted he did reach
out the Councilmember-Elect Groff regarding the schedule and the only conflict
he had was with the September 9th Council meeting. He noted there is a fifth
meeting in the month of September so there is a potential to shift that meeting.
Councilmember Laliberte stated she cannot attend the February 25th meeting. Al-
so, July 22nd is tentative for her. All of the other dates are fine for her. She noted
November 25th is the Monday before Thanksgiving. She indicated she did not
have a problem with that date, but she assumed the Truth in Taxation Hearing
would be on that date which has to be held.
Mayor Roe stated the Truth in Taxation Hearing could be done at the December
2nd meeting and have a subsequent December meeting to adopt the budget.
Councilmember McGehee wondered if the meeting could be moved up by a
week.
Mayor Roe was not sure if the Truth in Taxation Hearing could be held earlier
than the last week in November because of notices being mailed out.
Councilmember Willmus stated January 14th would be tentative for him at this
point.
